Privacy Policy
Your period logs stay on your phone, and you can use Phasie without an account. This policy lists what does leave your phone. Device details go to our purchases provider when you open the app, and most of the rest only happens if you choose it.
Last updated November 6, 2026. This policy is a draft pending legal review.
The short version
- Your period days, check-ins and notes stay on your phone. Phasie doesn't put them in iCloud, and we don't have a copy.
- Two features will send data based on your logs once they're available: the partner link and community stats. Each one asks for your separate consent first.
- You don't need an account. Sign-in is optional.
- Phasie keeps Apple Health data on your phone. It's never used for ads and never shared with third parties.
- No ads, no ad trackers, and we don't sell your data.
- No location permission and no geofencing.
- If you lose your phone, your logs are gone unless you exported them. Period days saved to Apple Health stay under your Apple settings.
Who this covers
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Phasie. It covers the Phasie iPhone app and the phasie.app website.
We also have a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for Washington, Nevada and Connecticut.
What we collect
- Your logs
- Period days, flow, mood, energy, symptoms, notes and your app settings, like reminders.
- Apple Health data
- If you connect Apple Health: menstrual flow. Phasie reads up to your last 12 months. If you allow saving, it saves the period days you log, with their flow. It reads and writes nothing else in Apple Health.
- Estimates
- Your cycles, predictions and phase calendar. Phasie works these out on your phone.
- Account (optional)
- If you sign in: the ID Apple gives us for you, and the details we need to keep you signed in and to end your Apple sign-in if you delete your account. We don't ask Apple for your name or email.
- Partner link (optional)
- When partner links are available, and if you create one: your last period start, average cycle length, period length, a 56-day phase calendar, your time zone, and any extra fields you turn on (energy, mood, and a first name if you type one). We also keep a record of your consent and a daily count of page views.
- Community stats (optional)
- When we offer them, and only if you opt in: an anonymous device ID and +1 counts in fixed groups, like a cycle length or a symptom in a phase. Never your notes or Apple Health values. Days imported from Apple Health are left out.
- Purchases
- When you open Phasie, it checks your plan and loads prices from our purchases provider, even if you don't buy Plus. That sends a random ID, or your Phasie user ID once you sign in, with a device ID, your phone model, iOS version, app version, language, App Store country and IP address. If you buy Plus, our provider also keeps your purchase and subscription data. None of this includes your logs.
- Details on your phone
- Your phone's keychain holds the date you first installed Phasie and the date you saw the one-time offer. They stay after Delete all data and after a reinstall, so the free week and the offer can't restart. If you sign in, your sign-in details are kept there too. Once they're available, the partner link and community stats will keep theirs there as well.
- Technical data
- When the app or website connects to our servers, they see your IP address.
- Crash reports
- If you've chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple sends us crash reports.
- Messages to us
- If you email us, or join a waitlist if we offer one: your email address and what you write.
Where it lives
Rows about the partner link and community stats describe how they'll work once they're available.
- Your logs
- On your phone. Phasie doesn't sync them to iCloud, and its local store is left out of device backups. If you connect Apple Health and allow saving, your period days and flow are saved there too.
- Apple Health data
- In Apple Health on your phone, with a copy of imported days in Phasie's local store. Phasie doesn't send this data off your phone. Imported days are in any file you export, and you choose where it goes. Apple Health itself is run by Apple, under your Apple settings.
- Estimates
- On your phone. They're worked out as needed and not stored.
- Account
- In our database.
- Partner link
- In our database, as one forecast per link that's replaced on each upload. Days imported from Apple Health are left out.
- Community stats
- In our database, as counts with no user ID. We keep your consent and device registration separate from any account.
- Purchases
- With our purchases provider and Apple. If you're signed in, our database also keeps your plan, status and expiry date.
- Technical data
- Our servers use IP addresses to limit abuse, and our hosting provider may log requests. We don't log the contents of partner or stats requests.
What reaches our servers may be stored and handled outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws apply to it.
If you lose your phone
Phasie doesn't back up your logs. It doesn't put them in iCloud, they're left out of device backups, and we have no copy. If you lose or erase your phone, or delete the app, your logs are gone unless you exported them. If you let Phasie save to Apple Health, your period days and flow stay there after you delete the app. Connect again to bring in the last 12 months. On a lost or erased phone, that copy depends on your Apple settings.
To keep a copy, export your data as JSON or CSV in Settings > Export data. Phasie nudges you if you haven't exported in 30 days. Keep the file somewhere private, because it's yours to look after once it leaves the app.
On a new phone, you can get Plus back with Restore purchases. When partner links are available, one can't be rebuilt, because we don't keep a readable copy. You'll be able to reset it, and your partner's old link will stop working.
Why we use it
Rows about the partner link and community stats describe how they'll work once they're available.
- Your logs and estimates
- To show your calendar, predictions, Today card, widgets and reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.
- Apple Health data
- To bring in your period days and keep your history in one place.
- Account
- To sign you in and keep Plus working on a new phone.
- Partner link
- To show the person you choose your cycle day, phase, next period estimate and a tip.
- Community stats
- To show charts of what people log, like how your cycle length compares.
- Purchases
- To show prices, give you Plus and restore it, and to see how many people try, buy and keep it.
- Technical data and crash reports
- To run the service, limit abuse and fix bugs.
- Messages to us
- To reply to you.
We don't use your data for targeted advertising. We don't collect, use or sell personal data to train large language models.
Who sees it
Rows about the partner link and community stats describe how they'll work once they're available.
- Just you
- Your logs, estimates and Apple Health data. We can't see your logs or estimates unless you send part of them through a feature listed here. Phasie doesn't send Apple Health data anywhere. Imported days are in any file you export, and you choose where it goes.
- Whoever has your partner link
- Your partner page: cycle day, phase, a cycle path, an estimated next period, a tip, your last update date and any extra fields you turned on. Anyone with the link can open it.
- People using Phasie
- If you opt in to community stats, your +1 becomes part of totals. Small groups stay hidden.
- Us
- What's in our database, so we can run Phasie. That includes your partner forecast, which isn't end-to-end encrypted.
- Apple
- Apple runs Sign in with Apple, the App Store and billing, Apple Health and the device check for community stats. Apple's own privacy policy applies.
- Service providers
- Companies that run our hosting, database and purchases for us. They work under contracts that limit how they use your data, and they must protect it at least as well as this policy does.
- A new owner
- If Phasie is ever sold or merged with another company, what we hold would pass to the new owner, and this policy would still apply to it. We'd tell you in the app first. Logs that only exist on your phone wouldn't be part of that.
- Anyone required by law
- If a valid legal order requires it, we may have to hand over what we hold. We can't hand over logs that only exist on your phone.
No one else. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Rows about the partner link and community stats describe how they'll work once they're available.
- Your logs
- Until you delete them in the app or remove the app.
- Apple Health data
- Imported days stay with your logs. Deleting data in Phasie may not remove what's in Apple Health, so manage that in the Health app.
- Account
- Until you delete your account. We also delete it when Apple tells us you've stopped using Sign in with Apple for Phasie or deleted your Apple Account. A session ends when you sign out or after 90 days without use.
- Partner forecast
- Replaced on each upload, and deleted when you revoke the link or your account is deleted. The link doesn't expire, so the forecast stays until one of those happens. After 8 weeks without an update, the page hides your phase.
- Partner link records
- After you revoke a link, we keep a record of it, your consent record and its view counts until your account is deleted. That record doesn't hold the link itself or your forecast.
- Community stats
- Counts stay after you opt out, because they have no user ID and can't be traced back to you. A short-lived record that stops double counting is removed 7 days after each month closes.
- Community stats records
- Your consent stays while you're in community stats, and we delete it when you leave. Your device registration stays after you leave.
- Purchases
- When your account is deleted, we delete our records and ask our purchases provider to delete theirs, which can take a little longer. If you don't sign in, our purchases provider keeps its record under a random ID, and we may not be able to find it for you. Apple keeps its own purchase records.
- Technical data
- Request logs are kept for our hosting provider's log retention period.
- Crash reports
- Kept by Apple, which shows them to us. We don't store them anywhere else.
- Messages to us
- Kept for as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of your request.
- Backups
- After you delete something from our database, our providers' routine backups may hold a copy for a while.
Your choices
- You don't need an account. Everything on your phone works without one. Sign-in is optional, and the partner link will need an account once it's available.
- You can skip Apple Health, or change access later in your Health settings.
- Fix any day. You can edit any past day in the calendar.
- Export your data as JSON or CSV in Settings > Export data.
- Delete your logs and app settings in Settings > Delete all data. This doesn't sign you out or delete any account, so delete your account too if you want it gone.
- When partner links are available, you'll create and revoke yours in Settings. If you revoke one, we delete the forecast, and the page stops working on its next request.
- When we offer community stats, you'll be able to leave them in the app. When you leave, new counts stop, and counts already added stay.
- If you have an account, delete it in Settings > Account > Delete account. If you no longer have the app, install it, sign in with the same Apple Account and delete it there. You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for Phasie in your Apple Account settings, and we'll delete your account when Apple tells us. We can't find your account from your email address, but if you're stuck, email privacy@phasie.app and we'll help. When we delete it, we end your Apple sign-in, delete your account, including any partner link and forecast, and ask our purchases provider to delete your record. Data on your phone stays until you delete it.
- Cancel Plus in App Store settings. Deleting your account or the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- You can turn off the daily check-in and period heads-up in Settings > Reminders. To stop the reminder before a free trial ends too, turn off Phasie's notifications in iPhone Settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to confirm what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it and withdraw consent, and to appeal if we say no.
To use these rights, email privacy@phasie.app. We may need to confirm it's you, for example by asking you to sign in. We won't penalize you for asking.
Data that lives only on your phone never reaches us, so we can't look it up or delete it for you. Use the tools in Your choices.
We don't sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of there.
The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how to appeal a decision and how to reach your attorney general.
How we protect it
- Most of your data never reaches our servers, which is the best protection we have.
- The details that keep you signed in and end your Apple sign-in are encrypted or stored in a form we can't read.
- We don't log the contents of partner or stats requests.
- No system is perfect, so keep your phone locked and any partner link private.
If someone sent you a partner link
This is how the page will work once partner links are available. The page loads no analytics and no third-party scripts, and it's marked so search engines don't index it. We count views per link per day, and that count stores no IP address or browser details. Our servers see your IP address when the page loads, to limit abuse.
Children
You must be at least 13 to use Phasie. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If you think a child under 13 has given us data, email privacy@phasie.app and we'll delete what we can find.
Changes
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we'll also tell you in the app.
We'll ask for your consent before we collect new kinds of health data or use it for new purposes.
